Andy Ong
CEO


Andy is the Group CEO of ERC Holdings Pte Ltd. ERC Holdings is the investment holding company of the Entrepreneur’s Resource Centre(ERC). The Centre was founded by Andy to encourage Asians to be entrepreneurial and has benefited more than 10,000 Singaporeans so far. Through ERC’s unique training, funding and mentoring approach, ERC has assisted 29 businesses along their way to achieve business success.

ERC now has presence in 10 countries and looks to grow aggressively in the Asian region. ERC is also a LEAP partner of the Economic Development Board of Singapore. Its mandate is to assist in the development of education enterprises in Singapore. ERC has major stakes in some of the most prominent education enterprises in Singapore. Andy now oversees ERC’s international development strategy and heads its mergers and acquisitions committee.

Andy started his career as a journalist and became Managing Editor of Financial Planner magazine. He grew the title to become Singapore’s largest circulating business magazine during his tenure. He started the Asia Financial Planning Journal, the definitive trade journal for financial services professionals. Since his initial start into the world of business, he has gone on to found numerous ventures in the areas of education, publishing, events, IT, food and beverage and others. He now sits on the Board of Directors of 15 private and public companies.
 

Dr Jürgen Rudolph
COO


A strong believer in lifelong learning, Jürgen has studied a wide range of subjects, including Business Administration, Sociology, Anthropology, Philosophy, Musicology, and Social Work. He has studied at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (Germany), King's College, Aberdeen (UK), the National University of Singapore, and the University of Louisville, Kentucky (USA). He holds MA, MBA and PhD qualifications.

Having been a don at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and a Research Fellow at the Social Research Centre, Nuremberg, Germany, he was also previously in charge of research and programmes in Southeast Asia of a German think tank in Singapore. He has been elected a Fellow of two UK associations and is an Adjunct Professor in Organisational Behavior of Paris Graduate Management School (PGSM). In 2005, he was awarded The Spirit of Enterprise award, presented by the President of Singapore, SR Nathan.

Jürgen has conducted numerous postgraduate seminars and training workshops in Asia and Europe. He has published a book on the social history of the Babas in Singapore and co-edited two books on the Asian crisis. His current main areas of interest are Entrepreneurship, Franchising, Research Methods, Globalisation, Organisational Behaviour and Education.
 

Lynette Loo
Project Director


Lynette Loo is a Project Director and she holds two Masters degrees – a Master of Advanced Business Practices from University of South Australia and a Master of Education from University Malaya. All her years of working have been in the education field. She has lectured professional courses under ACCA, CIMA & ICSA before venturing into education management. Since then, she has been greatly involved in the strategic business development of educational institutions both in Malaysia and Singapore.

Lynette’s previous portfolio includes working as the Director of Sales for the Global Business Unit (GBU) Higher Education for international market in a Singapore-based public-listed educational institution. She was involved in strategic planning and growth direction of global higher education for countries like Malaysia, Singapore, and China. Forming strategic alliances with other private education providers and corporations, and strengthening network for synergistic tie-ups are some of her key responsibilities. She was also one of the recipients of the prestigious Chairman’s Excellence Star Award (CESA) in October 2003 for her outstanding global sales performance.
 

Dr Veeda Vashti Maraj
Academic Director/Academic Head (Entrepreneurship & Business Management)


Dr Veeda Vashti Maraj is a firmly committed believer of Life Long Learning. She holds an LLB Hons, MBA and PhD and is currently pursuing another doctorate with Haas Business School-California USA. Veeda has studied at the University of London and at GU-The Silicon Valley University. Dr Maraj has successfully completed several executive level management courses with Insead Business School, NUS, SIM and Chicago Graduate Business School in areas including but not exclusive to Leadership, Managing Change, Mentoring, Coaching and Strategic Decision Making.

Veeda has worked in the legal environment in the Attorney General’s Chambers, Legal Aid and Dip’s office then the banking sector before she became the Executive Director of a Corporate Training Organisation. Her roles and responsibilities involved conducting TNA and the designing training programmes to match those gaps identified and implementing and evaluating the effectiveness of the training programmes.

Veeda has conducted a diverse range of seminars and workshops targeted at Undergraduates and Postgraduates in the Asia Pacific region and in the United Kingdom. Veeda is currently writing a collection of analysis of Corporate Governance in Asia. Her current areas of interest are Globalisation, Strategic Marketing, Electronic Commerce Law, and Curriculum Development for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Veeda has been involved in lecturing in Singapore and Asia since 1994, but she has also lectured in Trinidad and Tobago, United Kingdom and Australia.
 

Ken Kang
International Recruitment Director


Ken is the International Recruitment Director of the Asian Centre for Professional Excellence. He is backed with more than eight years of experience in the education industry. He was previously based in Vietnam as an Area Facilitator for South Vietnam, in charge of eleven schools in Ho Chi Minh City and various provinces.

His main responsibilities in ACPE include the recruitment of international students, overseeing of international marketing activities and expanding new market segments for ACPE.
 

Joanne Chia
Finance & HR Manager



 


Joanne Chia is the Accountant of Asian Centre for Professional Excellence. She graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic and went on to pursue and obtain her ACCA in 2000.

Since graduation, Joanne has been working in the accounting sector. She is responsible for all finance matters relating to all programmes offered by the school.
