In this course, you will learn all the skills to develop your very own 3D game with multi-player functions in the mould of popular games such as ‘Warcraft’ and ‘Diablo’. The Ultimate Game development course is for multimedia enthusiasts who want to prepare themselves for a career in PC game development or skillful multimedia experts who just want to create their very own game at home.
          

         
       Main Objectives of the Course

By the end of the course, participants should be able to:

Understand the theory involved in 3D game creation for PC;
Be able to create characters and terrains using 3D Max;
Be exposed to the different types of game engines and the programs behind
game engines;
Create movements in 3D characters;
Create a 3D world for 360 degree viewing;
Create and develop a multi-player, multi-function adventure game for PC use.

Components of a simple game
Game layout
Creation of symbols
Insertion of text
Import of pictures and animations
Creation of animations and images
Introduction to layers
Importing artwork
Symbols, instances and the library
Tools and functions used for animating
Scenes, Actions & Buttons
Shape Tweening
Frame by Frame
Motion Tweening
Action Scripting
 


Assessment

Each module will be assessed by quizzes and/or presentations that will test the knowledge of participants. Participants will also need to create a simple 3D game.
           


Entry Requirements

 Professional or Academic certification from recognised institution
Creative individual interested in Game Development
 


Pre-requisites

 The applicant should have some background using 3D Max, Macromedia Flash and Java.

60 hours over a 15 day duration
